Anemia is a condition where your body does not have enough red blood cells. Red blood cells carry oxygen to the body’s tissues, so anemia can cause fatigue and weakness. Other symptoms can include pale skin, irregular heartbeat, dizziness, lightheadedness, chest pain, cold hands/ feet and headache.

Some risk factors include diet with low iron, intestinal disorders (e.g., Celiac disease and Crohn’s disease), menstruation, chronic conditions (e.g., cancer, kidney failure and ulcers), Family history, and older age.

Albuquerque Clinical Trials is conducting a research study to evaluate a medication in the treatment of anemia. In order to participate in the study patients must meet the following criteria:

  • Male or female patients
  • Patients at least 18 years old
  • History of Anemia

Qualified participants will receive all study medication and study-related care from a dedicated team of medical staff at no cost. Health insurance is not required to participate. Compensation for time and travel is available.
