Postpartum Depression

Postpartum Depression is a mood disorder that a woman may experience after they have given birth. Symptoms include feelings of anxiety, exhaustion and extreme sadness. It is likely caused by a combination of hormonal and physical changes after childbirth. Those experiencing postpartum depression may find it difficult to care for themselves or their child.

Albuquerque Clinical Trials is conducting a research study to evaluate a medication in the treatment of postpartum depression. In order to participate in the study patients must meet the following criteria:

  • Female 18-48 years old
  • Given birth in the last 6 months

Qualified participants will receive all study medication and study-related care from a dedicated team of medical staff at no cost. Health insurance is not required to participate. Compensation for time and travel is available.
